What We Believe

The people of EEM are committed to knowing Christ and making Christ known.

• We believe there is one God, creator of all who has revealed Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
• We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God – the supreme and final authority on all matters relating to our relationship with God and other people.
• We believe that by God’s plan, His son Jesus Christ came to Earth, was born of a virgin, taught and lived a sinless life, willingly died for our sins, rose again, and is presently at the right hand of God interceding for those who believe in Him. One day He will return to call the faithful to himself.
• We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, draws people to Christ, and indwells all believers empowering them to lead Christ-like lives.
• We believe that salvation cannot be earned through human effort, sincere remorse or personal sacrifice. It is the free gift of God that must be received through faith, repentance, and baptism into Christ.
• We believe that all Christians are members of the body of Christ. Christians express spiritual unity by loving and accepting each other across ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic, national, generational, and gender lines.
• We believe that the local church is a congregation of believers who gather together for worship, prayer, instruction, encouragement, and community. Through it, believers invest time, energy, and resources to reach those outside Christ and walk beside them as together they grow into fully devoted followers of Christ.
• We believe that Christians are invited into a life of discipleship by Jesus Christ, the perfect guide and model. This discipleship includes, in Jesus’ words, “making disciples of all nations.”
• We believe that God has given the people of Eastern European Mission the task of inviting unbelievers into new life in Jesus Christ. We share God’s Word with people of Eastern Europe and beyond and seek to educate and inspire God’s servants in this work.
