Faith in Action: Bart Rybinski on Global Aid, Unity, and Sharing the Bible Across Borders
The global landscape continues to change, but one truth remains steady: God’s Word transforms lives. In a world often divided, the enduring power of faith to unite and heal remains a beacon of hope. At Eastern European Missions (EEM), this hope takes the form of providing free Bibles ministry and Christian resources to those yearning for connection with God.
Today, we share the inspiring story of Bart Rybinski and EEM’s unwavering commitment to Bible distribution in Europe, reaching hearts and transforming lives. From his personal journey to the frontlines of delivering Bibles for refugees, Bart’s experiences illuminate the profound impact of making EEM Bibles accessible to all.
Bart Rybinski is EEM’s Vice President for European Operations. In this compelling episode, he shares a heartfelt testimony of how God has redirected his life and work for the greater mission of spreading Scripture access for all. From Warsaw to Vienna, from IT professional to full-time Bible ministry, Bart’s journey illustrates what it means to walk by faith.
The Call to Serve: Bart Rybinski’s Journey with EEM
Bart Rybinski’s path to EEM was a testament to faith’s guiding hand. Initially immersed in the I.T. world, Bart’s life took a transformative turn through a personal encounter with the Bible and a growing involvement with mission work. This eventually led him to Oklahoma Christian University, where he deepened his biblical studies and served in ministry.
However, God had a different plan. Despite plans to return to Poland, Bart’s journey led him to EEM.
From I.T. to a Mission of Bible Distribution in Europe
Bart’s initial reluctance quickly gave way to the realization that this was a divine appointment. His understanding of both European culture and American church dynamics, combined with his business acumen and biblical knowledge, made him uniquely suited to advance EEM’s mission.
Today, as Vice President of European Operations, Bart leads EEM’s efforts to spread Christian outreach and provide religious materials across the continent.
Responding to the Urgent Bible for Ukraine
When the war broke out, EEM could not stand by. Ukrainian refugees fled their homes, many with nothing but the clothes on their backs. The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has created a humanitarian crisis, with millions displaced and in desperate need of hope. As humanitarian aid flowed, so did the requests for hope—specifically, requests for Bibles. EEM, under Bart’s leadership, has been instrumental in providing not only faith-based humanitarian aid but also the comfort and guidance of God’s Word.
In 2022 alone, Ukraine Bible requests surged over 40%. Bart and the team were stunned by how often people who asked for food and shelter soon asked for Scripture. The Bible for Ukraine project became one of the clearest pictures of God’s Word as both comfort and courage. The demand for Bibles for refugees has been overwhelming, demonstrating the profound need for spiritual nourishment amidst suffering.
Christian Response to Global Crisis
EEM’s response to the Ukrainian crisis through humanitarian aid and free Bibles exemplifies its core values: a deep-seated compassion for people and an unwavering commitment to sharing the Gospel. Bart emphasizes that, in times of crisis, the provision of Free Bibles Ministry becomes as crucial as physical aid. This holistic approach reflects EEM’s dedication to meeting both the immediate and long-term needs of those they serve.

Expanding the Reach of Bible Distribution in Europe
EEM has a singular mission: making God’s Word accessible to those who seek it. With Bible distribution in Europe at its core, EEM’s ministry spans over 30+ nations and in over 20 languages, ensuring that individuals, churches, and humanitarian organizations receive free Bibles. This Bible distribution in Europe has evolved significantly over the years, moving from U.S.-driven campaigns to deep partnerships with local churches and leaders on the ground.
Across Eastern Europe, countless communities are experiencing transformation through Scripture access for all. In war-torn regions like Ukraine, the need for God’s Word has never been greater. The demand for Ukraine Bible requests has soared, reflecting the deep spiritual hunger amidst adversity.
A Shift Toward Local Partnership and Ownership
Initially focused on Eastern Europe, EEM Bibles were delivered primarily through visiting American groups. But as Bart shared, the shift to locally-driven outreach was necessary. This move allowed the Free Bibles ministry to become more sustainable and responsive to local needs. Bart’s role in this transition was pivotal, helping to guide strategy while staying rooted in personal connections and faith-led leadership.
Today, EEM partners closely with European believers to identify where printed God’s Word is most needed, building bridges with churches, schools, and ministries that are hungry for spiritual truth.
Meeting the Growing Demand for Scripture
One of the most significant shifts Bart has witnessed is the sheer increase in requests for Bibles. With each passing year, the appetite for Scripture grows, especially among Ukrainian refugees and communities recovering from crisis. What began as small orders of hundreds has now grown to orders of hundreds of thousands.
The quality of the Bible materials has also increased. As living standards in Europe rise, so do expectations for well-designed, durable, and engaging faith-based publishing resources. EEM has met this challenge, offering beautifully produced Bibles and Bible-based materials that speak to both children and adults alike.
Navigating Logistics and God’s Timing
Bart described his role as part strategy, part logistics, and all faith. He leads the team responsible for publishing and distributing EEM Bibles, often coordinating the complex dance of printing, translation, and delivery. But beyond the spreadsheets and shipping routes, God’s timing continues to amaze. From office expansions that unknowingly prepared them to shelter staff during the Ukraine war, to long-standing partnerships that came alive during crisis response—this is Bible distribution as divine orchestration.

The Enduring Power of the Printed Word: EEM’s Unique Role
While digital resources have become increasingly prevalent, EEM remains committed to the power of the printed Bible. Bart highlights the unique role of printed Scripture in reaching people, especially in communities where literacy may be a challenge or where access to technology is limited.
EEM is also working to provide Scripture access for all, including children and young adults.
Free Bibles Ministry: Reaching the Next Generation
EEM recognizes the importance of engaging younger generations with the Bible. The ministry is developing innovative resources, such as a young adult Bible series and engaging Bible activity books, to make Scripture accessible and relevant to their lives.
These efforts reflect EEM’s commitment to nurturing faith from childhood to adulthood.
New Frontiers: Christian Mission in Central Asia
While much of EEM’s current visibility is tied to Eastern Europe and Ukraine, Bart shared his excitement about expanding the Christian mission in Central Asia—places where religious materials are scarce and access to Scripture is limited or even dangerous.
EEM’s reach extends beyond Europe, into Central Asia, where the ministry is forging new connections and responding to a growing hunger for God’s Word. In regions where Christianity is not the majority religion and where professing faith can be dangerous, EEM’s work is vital. They are working to provide New Testaments and other resources to these communities.
Planting Seeds Where Christ is Least Known
Countries in Central Asia are often closed to open evangelism, and Christian outreach is met with suspicion or persecution. But there’s a growing hunger for the Gospel in these regions. Bart mentioned new connections in Kazakhstan and other “Stan” nations where the request for New Testaments continues to rise.
Through strategic partnerships and careful planning, EEM is working to provide Bibles for refugees, seekers, and hidden believers in these challenging environments.
Creative Tools for Bible Ministry
Not every mission field is the same, and Bart highlighted several tools beyond traditional Bibles that are reaching new audiences:
- A young adult Bible series being translated into Ukrainian and Czech
- Bible coloring books that help introduce Scripture to children and non-literate parents in Roma communities
- Daily reading Bibles tailored for new believers in Serbia and Romania
These tools represent the expanding landscape of faith-based publishing and show how EEM is staying innovative while remaining grounded in the truth of Scripture.
More Than Aid: Unity Through the Bible
Bart’s vision for EEM is rooted in a desire to foster Unity in Christ. He believes that the Bible has the power to break down barriers, heal divisions, and bring people together in love and understanding. This vision is particularly evident in EEM’s work in conflict zones, where the Bible offers a message of hope and reconciliation.
Bart emphasized the deep unity that emerged through this mission. Churches of various denominations, organizations with different theological backgrounds, even groups historically divided—came together in Christ. This unity through the Bible was a living testimony to the power of the Gospel.
EEM’s work during this time showed that Christian humanitarian aid is not just about relief—it’s about renewal. Printed God’s Word was often the first step toward healing for individuals and entire communities.
Partnering for Impact: The Heart of EEM’s Ministry
EEM’s work is made possible through the generosity of its supporters and the collaboration with key partners. Bart emphasizes the importance of these relationships, highlighting how God orchestrates connections to further the ministry’s reach.
EEM remains committed to providing ongoing support as the needs in Ukraine and other regions persist. Bart expresses deep gratitude for the generosity of EEM’s supporters and calls for continued Christian relief efforts to alleviate suffering and offer hope.

Bart Rybinski’s story is more than a testimony—it’s an invitation. An invitation to see Bible distribution not just as a logistical task, but as a Spirit-led mission of love. Through EEM Bibles, global aid, and Christian outreach, we’re witnessing God’s hand at work in the most unexpected places. Whether it’s the orphans in a war and war-torn streets of Ukraine, the quiet resilience of Central Asian churches, or the buzzing cities of Europe—hope is being planted. And at the root of it all is Scripture.
EEM’s story is a testament to the enduring power of faith in action. Through the dedicated service of individuals like Bart Rybinski and the generous support of partners and donors, EEM continues to bring the light of the Gospel to a world in need. From distributing Free Bibles in 30+ nations to providing Christian humanitarian aid in times of crisis, EEM’s work exemplifies the transformative power of God’s Word to unite, heal, and offer hope. As Bart so eloquently states, the passion driving this ministry is to bring unity and love to a world desperately in need and giving people the most powerful gift of all: the Word of God.
