Position Overview
The Marketing Coordinator will support EEM’s fundraising and donor engagement efforts by helping design and implement creative, mission-driven marketing and communications initiatives. Working closely with the Marketing Director, this role will focus on crafting campaigns that inspire generosity, deepen donor relationships, and grow awareness of EEM’s mission.
This is a virtual/remote position. While the role is U.S.-based, candidates may work from anywhere with reliable internet access. Occasional travel may be required for staff meetings, ministry events, or campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Donor Campaigns – Assist in developing and executing integrated fundraising campaigns (print, email, digital, video, and social) that inspire giving and highlight ministry impact.
- Creative Direction – Provide creative and art direction support across all projects, collaborating with designers and writers to ensure brand consistency in print, digital, video, social, and web content.
- Appeals & Reports – Draft, edit, and design donor communications including appeals, newsletters, annual reports, and special updates.
- Storytelling – Capture and share powerful stories from the field to connect donors with the eternal impact of their gifts.
- Social Media & Web – Create and manage social and digital content that supports donor engagement and broadens EEM’s reach.
- Events & Campaigns – Support donor-focused events, conferences, and campaigns by developing marketing materials and promotional strategies.
- Data-Driven Insights – Track engagement metrics to help shape and refine marketing strategies.
- Leadership Development – Gradually assume greater responsibility in campaign planning, team leadership, and budget management in preparation for the Marketing Director role.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in donor communications, nonprofit marketing, or fundraising support.
- Strong creative ideation ability for print and digital marketing deliverables.
- Strong writing and storytelling ability that moves people to action.
- Knowledge of donor engagement strategies, fundraising best practices, and multi-channel campaigns.
- Experience with social media, email platforms, and website content management.
- Project management skills with the ability to balance deadlines and multiple priorities.
- Heart for missions and full alignment with EEM’s vision and values.
- Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment with strong self-management and communication skills.
Preferred/Highly Desirable:
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and other design tools.
- Familiarity with donor databases (e.g., DonorPerfect, Salesforce, Blackbaud).
- Experience with SEO, digital ads, or Google Analytics.
- Previous nonprofit or ministry marketing experience.
